Enrolling Junior Secondary school-2023

We as Tenwek International School, Have been longing to host Junior Secondary school in our Institution. It is with great Joy to present to you that our request to Host Junior Secondary school has been approved by the ministry of Education at the County Level by Mr. Apollo Apuko, The County Director of Education in Bomet County. We will be having January intakes and admission for the Junior Secondary, i.e grade 7. We have great leanring areas on offer, which includes and not Limited to Computer Science, Foreign Language ( french & Germany) among others.

Junior Secondary is part of middle school in the CBC system. After passing a national examination, students in middle school progress from upper primary to junior secondary. For pupils aged 12 to 14, junior secondary education acts as a bridge between primary and secondary school. All junior secondary school activities focus on age-appropriate education, student well-being, and student transition support.

The first transition from upper primary to junior secondary school will take place in January 2023. Students in Grade Six can choose their favorite junior secondary school, according to the Ministry of Education. The school principal will provide a list of schools. Junior secondary schools for Grade 7 admissions in 2023 were decided in August 2022.

All guardians and parents are expected to work with school principals to help students choose acceptable schools for their junior secondary education. During the first selection exercise, which finished on August 30, 2022, all headteachers were obligated to counsel students. The Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) gave principals access to a portal that contained a list of all approved junior secondary schools. The students would then choose among the offered schools.
